Apply To Be A Member

R&S accepts new members every February and August. To be a member of R&S you must be a working class woman between the ages of 14 and 30 living in Boston. You have to commit to coming to programming every Wednesday from 6-8pm. If you’re interested in joining, you can fill out an application at any time and we’ll call you when we begin the next new member process!

Volunteer

R&S thrives off the energy and talents of our supporters. We are currently in need of childcare volunteers for Street Theater rehearsals and Girls Nights Out. We are also seeking volunteers to prepare food for our members on Wednesday evenings. The R&S board is creating a volunteer database, so if you have skills and expertise you’d like to share with us please email rands@reflectandstrengthen.org with the subject line “Volunteer.”

Join the Board

The R&S Advisory Board is circle of women from our community. Board members may be elders, experienced organizers, passionate community members, artists, and professionals who are seeking to share their expertise. It’s part of our culture to break bread, share our stories, and support one another outside of R&S work. Being on the board makes you part of a sisterhood of some very powerful, visionary, and creative women in Boston!

The R&S board is currently accepting new members. To be a member of the board, you must be a woman over the age of 14 living in Boston. Applications are due May 2. Please email Mallory@reflectandstrengthen.org for an application.

With 10 years of organizing experience, R&S has developed highly effective trainings and workshops to share our wisdom with the community. One of the ways we raise money for our programming is through fee for service work. We are available to facilitate at your workplace, community organization, church, and other spaces. We develop custom agendas to best meet the needs of your group.

We have curriculum on the following topics:

• Gender-specific programming for young women
• Restorative justice through circles
• Understanding power, privilege, and the levels of oppression
• Addressing oppression in your organization
• Racial disparities and the juvenile justice system
