Come and join us at our 4th annual "My Sister's Keeper" while we celebrate our growth and successes over the last year with our community. We will be raising funds for our programming while indulging in some soul medicatin' poetry, dance, hip hop, song, visual art and photography from performances by some of Boston's very talented Female artists including the Ladies of Reflect & Strengthen!
At this year's My Sister's Keeper, we will present two My Sister's Keeper awards that will acknowledge two women in Boston who have dedicated their energy, time and love to raise the quality of life for young, working-class, urban women in Boston, declaring them "My Sister's Keeper". Reflect & Strengthen invites you to participate in our process of choosing the deserving recipients of our "My Sister's Keeper" award.
WE NEED YOUR INPUT! If you know a working-class woman who is from an urban neighborhood of Boston who has dedicated her efforts to other young sisters of her community, please consider nominating her. Your nominee must possess remarkable leadership and vision and has advanced opportunities for other young, working-class, urban women of Boston. This woman has a concern for humanity and immense determination and her impact is widespread and deeply felt. Candidates should be actively working in their community, fighting injustice, supporting young sisters and create lasting, positive change.
Nomination forms can be downloaded here and must be returned to us by Friday, October 20, 2006 via mail or email at rands@reflectandstrengthen.org
Thank you in advance for your time, consideration and participation in our nomination process. WE WILL SEE YOU AT MY SISTER'S KEEPER on NOVEMBER 18th! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at 617-442-2355.
In Strength & Struggle,
The Ladies of Reflect & Strengthen
Look forward to hearing from you and seeing you at My Sister's Keeper 2006!
