Our Sisters Behind the Wall

Our Sisters Behind the Wall: program to address the urgent needs of teenage women involved in the juvenile justice system through gender-specific culturally relevant programming. R&S members receive intensive training to be facilitators. Our objectives are to: create a safe, positive space; develop critical thinking skills in order understand our experiences within the larger social and political contexts that shape our lives; cultivate our ability to recognize our value and the value of others and practice accountability; increase our capacity to be agents of change in our lives and in our community.
